In May 2005, the
EZBoard service on which the SurLaLune Discussion Board is hosted was
severely hacked. Thousands of EZBoard users lost data. After several weeks
of restoration attempts by EZBoard, about half of the discussions for
SurLaLune from May were rescued. Many, however, disappeared fully or in
part into the netherworld of permanently deleted files. Fortunately, SurLaLune
only lost a large portion of May and no other other months due to regular
archiving on SurLaLune's main site. This archive represents what survived
from the month.
