Andersen, Hans Christian. H.C. Andersen's Sammtliche Marchen. Leipzig: B.G. Teubner, 1873.

Pedersen was the first illustrator of Andersen's stories. His drawings were originally published in 1849. Later, the Carl B. Lorck publishing house in Germany published an edition with woodcuts from Pedersen's drawings. Pedersen died at the young age of 39 in 1859. The tales he had not illustrated were then illustrated by Lorenz Frolich.
