Arabian Nights
Hello again,
It's that time for tracking down all those lovely suggestions people gave me during my research on the Insatiable Woman thread... someone, I think Veronica, told me about a story in Arabian Nights in which a man is suspicious of his wife's very small appetite (eating rice grain by grain) finds her gorging on corpses in secret. I couldn't find the reference (using the search inside feature on amazon); does anyone know the name of the story? Is it definitely in Arabian Nights?

Re: Arabian Nights
You're looking for "The Story of Sidi-Nouman," and it is indeed in Arabian Nights. Here's a link to an online version:

If you're reading the story for research, you might want to track the story down in print, but it shouldn't be hard to find a library copy of Arabian Nights.

thanks!
Oh terrific, thank you! I do own a copy of Arabian Nights, but I think it must be wretchedly abridged. In any case, this is just what I need, I can certainly find it in print elsewhere :)
