I need a story about a road....te view at the end, the reaching of a goal, etc
looking in archives now but any help

Two came to mind. First is LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD where the road is her path, the end is the grandmother's house, and the message is to not to stray from the road. The next is EAST OF THE SUN, WEST OF THE MOON where the road is a little less clear, but the journey leads to the palace of the ogress where the prince is trapped. Along the road, the maid meets people with gifts and advice, and so the journey is, once again, as important as the destination.

road story
Saynday and the Cowboy comes to mind. It happens along a roadside ("Saynday was coming along..."), and in the end Saynday rides off down the road into the sunset wearing the cowboy's clothes, riding the cowboy's horse. Goal accomplished.
