beauty and the beast??
i am looking for a version of beauty and the beast i saw as a kid- im pretty sure it was in colour, and the main scene i remember is where beauty is in a courtyard and the figure-sculptures come to life to dance with her, and cheer her up. if that even sounds vaguely familiar to anyone, please let me know, thanks!

Beauties & Beasts
There was a 1962 theatrical movie version starring Mark Damon as Beast, who was a prince cursed to turn into a werewolf at night. Pretty pedestrian, but it was in color with live actors.
Also, in the '70s (1976?) there was a TV version starring George C. Scott as Beast and Trish van Devere. I don't actually remember a scene of statues coming to life to dance with Beauty in either a version (I've seen both, but not recently), but both these productions are in color, live action, and may fit the time frame.
