the princess and the twelve swans?? *help*
hi, i'm desperately looking for a video that i watched when i was younger. it was around the early 90's. i'm sure everyone is familiar with the grimms story about the princess and her brothers getting transformed into swans. i know there are many versions of the story made to video, but the one that i saw as a child was more animatedly drawn. the princess actually had brown hair and wasn't a blonde. the king (father) was only able to go to his children's hidden home by following the bouncing yellow yarnball. if i remember correctly, the movie was titled "the princess and the twelve swans" but i'm having no luck when i search for that title. i am getting other titles i.e. the 7 swans, the swan princess, the twelve swans...but none is the one i am looking for. so if anyone knows which video i am talking about, please respond back! :D

The Three Ravens?
The princess in Jim Henson's Storyteller version is a brunette, and the king follows a ball of string to his children's secret place, but it's live action... that wouldn't by any chance be what you're remembering?

thank you for replying. but no the movie i saw was animation. i've searched everywhere for it. the imdb movie data base doesnt even have a listing for that title. i could be wrong, i try switching around the title but still no luck.

unfortunately it isn't. i purchased that copy of swans hoping it was the one that i watched but it wasnt. thank you soo much for helping though!

Could it have been the Wild Swans found on this DVD? It might be the same on the VHS tape previously mentioned, but I'm not sure.
