Anyone seen these?
I'm not sure if anyone here watches fairy tale movies that come out, but I was wondering if anyone had seen the Magical Memories: Little Red Riding Hood DVD. I've been searching all over the web for some images or something from it, but I can hardly find anything. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Anyone seen these?
Cascadia, which produces Magical Memories, is a Canadian redistributor. They take older material and re-release it. I have a copy of The Snow Queen, which is originally a 1950's Russian version. Unfortunately Cascadia doesn't have a website. I can't say what the original source is, but it's likely a public domain version.

Ah, not cool. I was really hoping to find some screen caps to see what it actually looks like, since covers can be very decieving from what I have seen. But since there is no official site, it will be even harder now.

Re: Anyone seen these?
It's most likely one of these:

Given the choices, my guess would be the Ray Harryhousen stop-motion version:

I know they're public domain.
About the only way to know is by buying it and watching it. But if it's cheap enough it's worthwhile, especially for classic animation. I've seen these DVDs sold for a dollar or two.

So is it an actual cartoon or just puppets? What you linked me too looks to be a show made with puppets or something, but the video I see says it is animated.
BTW, I suppose no one here knows Chinese? I am trying my best to find out the name of the company that produced these one Learn Chinese Fairy Tale Books/tapes but I have no idea what the cover says.

Re: Reply
The Harryhousen work is done in stop motion animation--the same sort of thing that Nightmare Before Christmas uses but in a less evolved form.
