Rosemary
At our wedding (several years ago now), the flower girl scattered rosemary before us (which I picked for some symbolic reason I since cannot recall :D). While waiting for my appearance, our minister told my husband a wonderful story (parable, legend?) about rosemary. DH, assuming that I knew this story and picked the rosemary because of it, could not later recall what the minister had told him.
So. I realize this is quite vague, but does anyone know any stories about rosemary that would have been apropos for a wedding?

Re: Rosemary
I don't know any Bible stories about rosemary, but during her mad scene, when distributing flowers and plants, Ophelia says "Here's rosemary, that's for rembrance. Remember me, my love."

Re: Rosemary
I've been doing some research on various things herbal - and while sources tend to vary wildly in definative 'meanings' for things, here are a few I've found:
A gift of rosemary connotes love, friendship and remembrance.
Students in ancient Greece wove garlands in their hair believing it would improve their memory OR (from a different source) students in the Middle Ages were encouraged to twine sprigs of rosemary in their hair to stimulate their brains, hence the herb has become associated with remembrance.
Also, sprigs were placed under pillows thought to prevent bad dreams.
It's name means 'dew of the sea'.
It is known for fidelity and remembrance and is for the great occasions of life - weddings, funerals and birth.
An old charm bids the bride and her groom to dip rosemary sprigs into their wine before they take their first sip, for then love will always flourish between them...
Anyhow - there's a few to choose from. :-)

Rosemary Legend
Legend says that the Virgin Mary, while resting, spread her cloak over a white flowering rosemary bush. The flowers turned the blue of her cloak, and from then on the bush was referred to as the “Rose of Mary”.

Re: Rosemary Legend
In Andrew Lang's Pink Fairy Book there is a story titled "A Sprig of Rosemary", it's a rather "East of the Sun, West of the Moon" tale. A sprig of rosemary is what starts it, but it's also what the girl uses so that her love will recognize her. I hope that helps.

Re: Rosemary Legend
If I'm not mistaken, it is also thought in the British Isles that if a woman can make rosemary thrive in her dooryard garden, she will wear the pants in the marriage.;)
I also have heard the legend about the Virgin's cloak and the blue blossoms.
