feminist rewriting of fairy tales

I'm working on a paper on feminist rewritings of fairytales at the moment. I chose bluebeard rewritings by Bronte (Jane Eyre), Angela Carter and Margret Atwood, but since all are very different I have difficulties with comparing them. Especially Atwood's version is difficult, because I have no terminology to describe what she does to the original tale. Can anybody recommend a text about rewriting that could help me?

Thanks a lot

Re: feminist rewriting of fairy tales
I can't think of a work on rewriting other's material because it's just something writers do on their own. One is usually inspired to write their own interpretation according to their own beliefs and impression of the story.

Many original stories are feminist already (such as Mother Holle, for instance). There are many strong female characters, and many times the stories have a heroine who saves the day.

rewriting
I recommended several books over at thread on which you originally asked the question--have you been able to track any of those down?
