Los Angeles play with Fairy Tales - The Big Ever After
Hi everyone!

First time poster, but long time reader of the Sur La Lune site! This site was immensely helpful when I was writing my full length play which is now playing in Los Angeles, and I wanted to extend the invitation for any Los Angeles fairy tale fanatics to come check it out!

The play is called The Big Ever After and it's about what happens when an earthquake happens between Fairy Tale Land and Pulp Novel Land. Some well known characters from both worlds fall through the crack and land in each other stories, resulting in new ways to tell familiar favorites. Specific characters from Fairy Tales include Cinderella (who falls into a hard boiled film noir detective story), Red Riding Hood (who falls into a juvenile delinquent story), and Bluebeard's wife (who falls into a femme fatale and boxer story.) The play is a comedy, a tad on the risque side, and a lot of fun.

We just opened last week and run through March 27th. Specific details on showdates, showtimes, ticket prices and location of the theater can be found on www.arktheatre.org/bea.htm .

Many thanks and I hope you get a chance to come see it!

Thanks Kel! I had a great time writing it and the audiences that have seen it like it a lot! It was really interesting how easily the different characters fit into their new circumstances. Many of the audiences that have seen the play had never heard of the Bluebeard fairy tale before, and it's always been one of my favorites, so I was stoked to introduce them to it.

I actually emailed the sur la lune website to my actors to help them prepare their characters. Spreading the love!

Oh, this sounds fantastic! While I can't actually see it, being on the other side of the country and all, I wish you a wild success (and myself a traveling production that would enable me to be present)!

Re: *Los Angeles Play With Fairy Tales: The Big Ever After*
Hi everybody!

I wanted to let those of you living in or near Los Angeles that my play, "The Big Ever After" has been extended through April 10th! We've been getting great audience and critical response!

At the last show, I met two wonderful women who said they had heard about the play from their father, who lived out of state and studied fairy tales. Maybe it's too much of a stretch to make the link that he heard about the show from this site, but in case he did, MANY MANY THANKS!

Specific details on showdates, showtimes, ticket prices and location of the theater can be found on www.arktheatre.org/bea.htm.

Many many thank yous, and I hope you all get a chance to come see it!

Thank you so much, Don! They were truly lovely people, and, in the strangest of coincedences, they knew a member of the cast! A great time was had by all.

Thanks again!
