Re: Buffy does Alice
Oh, my ... thank you for sharing!
I must confess: I have an Evil Alice Doll. I also have an Evil Alice game ... for Mac. I have a PC. How could I have made this mistake? Well, because it is Evil Alice. Evil Alice's the Doll's hair pops off whenever I have a party: it's my firm belief that this happens because the doll is imbued with, well, evil, and she's just letting her hair down. Literally.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is an interesting casting choice ... I'll be looking forward to this!

Re: Buffy does Alice
The demo for American McGee's Alice is darker than the actual game. The demo (which I believe came out before the official release of the game) starts off with her locked away in a sanitarium behind bars. The full game puts her in a hospital. But I suspect the movie will lighten it up even more (like leaving the blood and demonic symbols off Alice's outfit).

Re: Buffy does Alice
Heh. And as you know, Helen, I too have an Evil Alice figure, and while she keeps her hair on, she is constantly launching herself in a kamikaze bombardment off the shelf she is standing on and attacking me or my computer, splitting off from her legs in the process. She is Evil.
And...I have a PC copy of the game that has never been played because I have a Mac. So...trade?
I can see SMG looking right, and it seems like a good role for her. I'm looking forward to it. Honestly, though, Evil Alice looks just like a friend of mine.

Good choices
I had been hearing about this film version for a long time. The last Alice film from Hallmark, I didn't like very much. Just too boring.
SMG is perfect for the role. I wonder if she has to have a British accent for the role. The director helmed the Texas Chainsaw remake and it looked really good on film. A particular sequence in a forest remined me of Alice actually.
This will be good. Last I had heard Wes craven was directing and Milla Jovovich(sorry, I can never spell her name right) was staring.
