Storytelling sites?
I'm helping a friend track down websites on the art of storytelling. Does anyone have any favorites or recommendations they'd like to let me know about?
Thanks!

Re: Storytelling sites?
I've listed the events of a few on the Endicott Bulletin Board under
"Mythic Arts Gatherings"...but the most interesting one
I'd say is the National
Storytelling Network
. Among all kinds of
information and resources, it has a huge list of storyteller links
.

Re: Storytelling sites?
There are dozens and dozens out there. If your friend wants to learn the art of storytelling, though, the best way is to attend a storytelling workshop, coupled with going to storytelling festivals and observing the performers. Going to storytelling circles also. And getting up and telling them! That's what I've been doing since August last year.
I'm still amateur but have now told stories to some of the top storytellers in this country. I'm hoping to do some voluntary work with schools fairly soon. My regular spots right now are telling stories at my local folk clubs. I go down well.
When I have built my repertoire up further I hope to go professional.
Your friend should simply type "storytelling" in Google. But if he/she wants to learn then websites won't be enough. It's a live art.
