Re: Any good books?
yes yes yes!!!
You absolutely must read 'Confessions of an ugly stepsister' by Gregory Maguire! It was recommended to me on here and I couldn't put it down. You know when you are reading a book that you are really getting into and then you realise how fast you are reading through it so you try and read it as slowly as possible to make it last...well, its one of those!
Very imaginative and a lovely story.

Some good books involving faeries:

Adult fiction:

Mortal Love by Elizabeth Hand
The Mysteries by Lisa Tuttle
Autumn Castle by Kim Wilkins
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke

Young adult fiction:

Hannah's Garden by Midori Snyder
Valiant and Tithe by Holly Black

You might also be interest in the story collection The Faery Reel: Tales from the Twilight Realm, with fiction by Holly Black, Pat McKillip, Tanith Lee, Emma Bull, Gregory Maguire and others.

You'll find more book recommendations over on the Endicott site: www.endicott-studio.com/scuttle.html

One more little edition to these great lists of recs: A fabulous YA book I've been reading about ghosts -- A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb. It's a love story, quite lyrically written that reads quite quickly.

Oh also...I seriously recommend, Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah...a real tear jerker and a true story.
