Pre-Raphaelite Exhibit
Heads up for anyone traveling to Nashville this summer. Or if you are considering a road trip to here from Atlanta before or after the Mythic Journeys conference. (It's a four hour drive for anyone wanting an estimate.) A 70 painting Pre-Raphaelite exhibit from the Tate is at the Frist Center in Nashville now through August 15. This is the only U.S. stop for the exhibit which I believe heads to Australia next.

Re: PRB
Yes indeed, that's where the PRB paintings were when I
couldn't find them at the Tate in London last month.

Re: PRB
I saw the exhibit today and will be returning several times before it leaves. I always imagined that the blue dress in Millais' Mariana was a brilliant blue despite the navy of the reproductions. My mother says it looks just like the capri blue Swarovski crystals she loves. We went back to look at it several times, just like many other women over the years according to the placard next to the painting.
Then there's also the Athena at the Parthenon if anyone really is considering the trip.

Name of the Rose
I just finished Umberto Eco's Name of the Rose. It has a labyrinth library in it. An intriguing concept, even if I didn't care for the book. (I did like the ending, however.)

This was supposed to post under Labryinths... I don't know what went wrong. I will try again.
