Stuck in Fairy Tales
Hi Everyone, This is the first time I post in this forum.
Can anyone could give me reference about characters "stuck" in fairy tales... When I mean "Stuck" I mean the characters they become enchanted or bound by some object or situations. For example in the "Golden Goose" when people touch the goose their hands became stuck to the goose. And in "The Red Shoes" the main character Karen can't take the shoes off, they are bound to her feet... that sort of situation I'm looking, if you could give me a hand with Tittles, publications and URL's I would be grateful.
Thank you!!
Everything if perfectly clear except for two things:
Who am I? What am I doing here? -_-u

Re: Stuck in Fairy Tales
I was wondering if you could be a little more specific--lots of fairy-tale characters are bound by curses or propheses or under burdens or something. Do you mean stuck to or on or in something physical, or more metaphorically?

Sausages
There's that Swedish story about the couple who are granted three wishes, and at some point the husband, angry, wishes for a sausage to be stuck to his wife's nose...

Objects stuck together
This is probably a bit off what you're looking for, but in stories of the 'forbidden room' sort (eg Bluebeard, Iron Hans) something happens to indicate the trespass: blood that won't come off the key, finger or hair turning gold after being dipped in the water, etc.
Then there's a folktale from some South American village in which a boy sticks his hand in the stew pot (to grab out some meat) one too many times, and ends up with the pot stuck forever on his hand; he walks through the forest forever, hitting it against trees, trying to get it off.

not precisely a fairy tale
I wasn't thinking of a particular story, although there are many attached to it, but what about the Each Uisge, the Celtic water-horse? It lures victims onto its back, at which point they find they can't tear themselves off. It also stretches to accomodate any number of riders, in some stories a whole family of children, or an entire village of people.
