Upcoming "Brothers Grimm" movie!
Hey everyone; ARTSFAN here. Stupid me-I forgot my ezboard password
and had to register a new account (hence the new username). Well,
anyhow, I have some extremely exciting news about the upcoming "Brothers
Grimm" movie. At first, I wasn't too excited to learn that
Heath Ledger and Matt Damon were starring. But I did a search for
the movie, and WOW! The pics look absolutely stunning. It appears
that this is going to be a very dark and sinister fictional account
of the Brothers Grimm intertwined with their marvelous tales. For
some pics, visit: www.thezreview.co.uk.
Once there, type Brothers Grimm in the searchbox, and click on any
one of the results. I don't think they could have chosen a better
Wicked Queen, which interestingly enough, seems to have been inspired
by Lady Elizabeth Bathory; it's funny that we had a bit of a discussion
about her in one of the more recent posts. Not to give away too
much, but I was reading a description about the movie and it said
that the queen has found eternal life, but not eternal beauty. She
captures young virgins (whose blood she needs) in order to remain
beautiful. I guess it's fair enough to say at this point, and given
the subject matter, that Snow White may be one of these intended
victims. I'm very interested to hear what you all think!

Re: Upcoming "Brothers Grimm" movie!
Thanks for the update. I was pleased to see that Monica Bellucci is in it--liked her a lot in Brotherhood of the Wolf!

Re: Upcoming "Brothers Grimm" movie!
That's exciting! And w/Terry Gilliam directing, it looks to be a lot more fantasmatic than the Grimm movie I saw last night!
Man, do I hate that website, though. All those flashing adds made my head hurt. I have to go lie down now...

Upcoming "Brothers Grimm" movie!
I can't wait! I've been aching for a movie like this to come along
for some time now. It will be interesting to see which Fairy Tale
characters will be included, and what their purposes will be. Robin
Williams and Nicole Kidman were originally involved with the film,
but due to various conflicts are no longer part of it. It makes
me happy, though; although I don't dislike them, too much star power
can greatly decrease credibility. An actress like Monica Belluci,
who does have a long list of acting credits, is ideal for such a
role. She is versatile, appearing in such varied films like "Bram
Stoker's Dracula", and "The Passion of The Christ".
She has an aura of mystery about her that ties in well with her
role in BG. And judging from the pictures, she'll be the perfect
Wicked Queen.

Re: Upcoming "Brothers Grimm" movie!
I am so happy to know that Robin Williams is not involved! I...how to put this?...I...feel physical pain when watching Robin Williams not unlike the physical pain I feel when watching Jim Carrey. Yay. Good.
