Where can I find d'Aulnoy's "Finette Cendron"?
Hello, I'm writing a dissertation on Cinderella and would like to read d'Aulnoy's
"Finette Cendron". Is there any website which I can
find this story?
ps. I know that the story is included in Zipes' -Beauties, Beasts
and Enchantment- but this copy is also hard to get hold of too!
Thank you
EDITOR'S NOTE 1/15/2006: You can
now read Finette
Cendron on SurLaLune.

You can do a google search on "Finette Cendron" then translate the text from French by clicking [translate this page] in the results. The translation won't be perfect, but the story is readable.

P.S.
The Zipes book has been reissued under the title:
"Beauty and the Beast and Other Classic French Fairy Tales"
"Finette Cendron" is listed in the table of contents.
Amazon has it if you are interested in purchasing it.
