Webcomics and fairy tales
I have a recent obsession with webcomics that does not seem to be slowing down. There are so many to sift through and I find myself more often than not surprised by the quality of art or storytelling. Add to this the idea that most of these people are not doing this for any type of payment and update sometimes as often as 2-3 times a week I can't help but be amazed.
One of my more recent discoveries includes Becca Ming's little vignette Zero Sleep Beauty that really deserves at least a once over by anyone interested in Sleeping Beauty retellings. It is as yet unfinished but considering the artist is a working college student this is more than understandable.

Another gem includes Follow another webcomic has of course strong Asian influences but still has a very strong dream-like feeling that well doesn't fit the fairy tale genre but I can't help but recommend.

Finally a fantasy based in the lore of the Chinese Zodiac Strings of Fate is also quite lovely...

The author Jen is also working on a retelling of the Twelve Dancing Princesses in a little publication called Wary Tales ..
An alternative method of storytelling nowadays perhaps? Just wanted to share with others.
