hello,
i am french from a tiny village in dordogne/périgord named : LA FORCE
i am very keen in knowing more about mademoiselle Charlotte rose de caumont-La Force who once had a family based in a renaissance castle in my village since her grand father was a good friend of henry the fourth king of France and maréchal de france under louis the thirteenth
a duke of la force was even académicien at Académie française beginning of twentieth century
as a chairman of the following society "association de recherches archéologiques et historiques du pays de la Force "(ARAH) i would like to prepare a conference about her for my members
have you some information about her fairy tales ( i am aware of rapunzel of course)

From a quick look on my shelf I see that Jack Zipes
book "Beauties, Beasts, and Enchantment" 1989 has a short bio of La Force and a printing of "The Good Woman," her "most serious fairy tale." (I have a friend who has a summer farm house just south of Castillion - near you??)
