Bibliotheque nationale de France exhibit
I don't remember if we have ever shared the link for this wonderful exhibit from 2001. I was just browsing it again and thought I would share. The text is en francais, but the illustrations alone are worth visiting if you don't read French. The exhibit is rarely linked on English language sites and was the dickens for me to find again when I wanted it.

Be prepared to spend some time exploring!

Re: Bibliotheque nationale de France exhibit
Thanks, Alice.
Here's another one I learned about today with a much darker vein of artwork.
Cornell's "The Fantastic in Art and Fiction" site

Heidi,
You had previously shared the French exhibit site with us, but thank you for reminding us of it. I had not seen the Cornell site. Interesting.
