Not Celtic really
The troll (both male and female) is mostly a Scandanavian concept. Swedish and Norwegian stories are full of them.

Celtic trolls
There are a few references to trolls in Celtic mythology - mostly originating in the Shetland and Orkney islands, which were originally settled by Scandinavians. They are usually referred to as "trows" rather than trolls, and encompass a variety of descriptions of small, wizened, hill-dwelling supernatural creatures that bear little resemblence to their Scandinavian counterparts.

might be a good place to start looking.
