Kerrie,
Is the writers' discussion board also open for anyone who is trying one's hand at writing? Meaning, for example, never being published (except on one's own website)?

Yes, anyone, whether expert or amateur, can post to the SurLaLune Writers' Discussion Board. The only limitation, really, is that the pieces workshopped be related to fairy tales, folklore, mythology, legends, and the like.
