The Tales From Europe Series ,,,,,,,,Which Was Screened On BBC Television In The late 60's /early 70's?
( not sure on the actual dates transmitted in the uk )!!
I Am Looking In Particular , To Buy A Copy On Vidio/DVD
Of The German Made ( With English Naration) Fairy Tale For Television..The Singing Ringing Tree.????
Basically About A Prince & Princess & An Evil Dwarf...
(Oh & of course the singing , ringing tree..).......????
Please help , Or I'll go mad !!

This might sound like an odd question ... but you wouldn't, by any chance, happen to be a Neil Gaiman fan, would you? I only ask because he mentioned the very same tale in his web-log the other day. Actually, I believe that there may be a link to it there ... I'll check, and post it here if there is. Hrm ... nope, apparently the closest that it comes is this

which will take you to a BBC radio program retelling.

I think you may be looking for one of the fairy-tale films produced in East Germany by DEFA, which were broadcast in the 1960s by the BBC and which are now available through Icestorm Video. Here's a link to their fairy-tale films, including The Singing, Ringing Tree: Icestrom Video

Singing Ringing Tree with English Narration
This came out on VHS last year in the UK in 2 versions - subtitled and with the English narration. The subtitled version came out first then I hear the tapes with the English narration were rediscovered so the other version was released.
Unfortunately these tapes have now been deleted. I did a quick search and couldn't track down a copy. I have both copies on video. If you're in the UK then e-mail me off-list.
Radio 4 did a wonderful documentary at Christmas which is still available for listening. Go to www.bbc.co.uk and search for 'singing ringing'
