Happy New Year Resolutions
Goals are like outlines. I used to make really tight ones and then beat
myself up for not adhering to them. Now if I make any, they are loose enough
to be inclusive rather than exclusive. So here goes:
1. Value the process, not the product.
2. Do not be afraid NOT to finish something. Its time will come. Or not.
3. Be open to the numinous.
4. Take time to smell the grandbabies.
5. Remember--you have already eaten enough chocolate for a lifetime.

New Years Resolutions
New Year's Resolutions
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New Year's Resolutions? hmmm.....
I suppose mine is to integrate two interior sensibilities that up to now have been at odds with each other. One part of me is a focused, business saavy she-warrior that works hard, manifests money abundantly, staunchly protects her boundaries, sets goals and achieves them - decidedly male qualities.
The other part of me is a creative, soulful, deeply spiritual intuitive that is open to the meandering, spontaneous, non-goal oriented movement of the numinous - feminine principles.
This year I want to bring those very two separate worlds together by creating a business context that marries passion and creativity with profits/money/the very real and gritty world of dollars and cents – I still have difficulty affirming this without choking. But what I will do that is different from the ways I have moved in the past is this: Instead of letting the warrior- business woman guide the process -er should I say control.... I am going to let the creative, intuitive have an equal hold on those reins...This should make for an interesting year....
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where
they should be. Now put the foundations under them..." -
Thoreau
This is the year I put the foundations under some of my most cherished dreams...
blessings to all and happy New Year
