Disney's Rapunzel
Hello everyone! I recently heard that in 2007, Disney will be releasing an animated feature of Rapunzel. It's about time if you ask me. The animators have been so busy beating around the bush with everything else that it seems they have forgotten all about the fairy tale genre. It's a shame because although the Disney versions of fairy tales are not my favorites or my idea of the ideal versions, I still love them and appreciate them. I especially love Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Well any way, can't wait to see it!

about time!
Rapunzel is one of my favorite fairytales, and I have often been suprised that Disney hasn't made an animated version. However, judging by Disney's recent animated films, I would not be suprised if they ruin the wonderful tale.

I feel the same way. When I was little my mother made me a long braid out of yarn to match my hair so that I could play dress up as Rapunzel. I always wondered why Disney never made some of the fairy tales that they could have. I have almost all of them and had myself a mini Disney marathon when I got my wisdom teeth out last monday. I hope they don't completely trash it. What's with all the shitty sequels they've been putting out. I wouldn't let a three year old watch one of them.

Barbie as Rapunzel
Well, in my opinion Disney can't do any worse than the Barbie as Rapunzel DVD that I bought my niece for Christmas. Its what she wanted and she was utterly thrilled by it, but when I snuck a peak at it, I was horrified!! They did not do the story justice at all, so I hope that Disney does better. After all, they can't do worse.
