Attractions involving fairy tales
I remember reading somewhere that there was a fairy tale attraction in the mid seventies. It wasn't like Disneyworld but it had scenes involving favorite fairy tales. I found a picture of the Sleeping Beauty scene. I only read it online so I don't even know if it really existed or where it was. I just thought it would be interesting if anyone knew anything on it.

fairy tale attraction
Do you have a link for the picture of the sleeping beauty scene? I visited a fairy tale attraction in Tennesee - but it was in the early sixties. If I could have a look at the picture I might be able to tell you if this was the same place.

Re: fairy tale attraction

Are you thinking of Rock City in Tennessee? It is still there and I grew up in the Chattanooga area for most of my childhood. I haven't been back to Rock City in twenty years. Take a look at www.seerockcity.com. I didn't have time to look around the site, but I imagine it has some images. The tourist kitcsh factor is about 99.9% there, so be prepared.

Also, Legoland in California has a fairy tale themed area, or did when I was last there.

Enchated Forest, Story Land...
In New England there are 2 that I know of- The Enchanted Forest in RI, and Storyland in NH.

Here's a list of amusement parks, where it seems there are several that could be what you're looking for:

Re: fairytale attractions
In Ligonier, PA, part of the Idlewild Park attraction is Storybook Forest. I'm not sure if there is a Sleeping Beauty part, but it definately includes many of the most popular fairy tales and nursery rhymes.

The address is www.idlewild.com, but there seems to be a 403 error with the address.
