Live action fairy tale movies
I have been collecting fairy tale movies for years as I have many
of the Cannon Movie Tales, Alice in Wonderland and Alice through
the Looking Glass from 1985, Hallmark's Snow Queen, the new Hansel
and Gretel movie with Delta Burke and countless others. I am looking
to expand my collection. Does anyone know of live action fairy tale
movies that are worth it? Did any one see the Joan Sugarman version
of Sleeping Beauty. I believe it was released in 1992? Any help
is appreciated. Thanks!!!

Re: Live action fairy tale movies
Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella, released in February 1965. It is available now on DVD.

Check the archives
I tried to copy the short cuts, but couldn't seem to do it right. I'll figure this out yet.
Try looking at October and November 2002 Archives; both have lists of movies. Also, we had a long thread (still looking) on favorite fairy tales movies. I wonder if it is still a "live" topic.

My personal Favourites
There are a couple of really great ones that combine several fairy tales. You might consider looking for Stephen Sondheims's "Into the Woods" or the television mini-series "The 10th Kingdom".
Hope you find what you're looking for.

Try this
Definately try looking up Jim Henson's TRhe Story Teller. Its available on amazon and they are really exellent live versions of fairy tales and Greek myths. I watch them on HBO family channel. They're excellent!

Henson--yes!
The Henson Storyteller series is written the way I would have written them had they asked! I adore them.
But they are a combination of live action, muppetry, and computer animation/graphics.

Live Action Movies
Found this site while I was searching “The Cold Heart” (see Glass Blowing.) Don’t know anything about these movies, but I thought I’d add the site to the thread.
