Help in finding fairy tale similar to Chaucer's Wife of Bath
I was reading Chaucer's "Wife of Bath" tale from the Canterbury
Tales, and it reminded my of a fairy tale I had once heard. But
I can't remember if it was a French fairy tale, or one of Grimm's
tellings, or what. If you have any information, I would be appreciative.

About that tale...
There are many versions of the loathy hag type. I'm not sure of its origins, but I know it goes way, way back into the time of oral folklore.
One of my favorite retellings of the story is called "The Marriage of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnell" and it can be found in "Three Romances: Love Stories from Camelot Retold" by Winifred Rosen. The illustrations are also wonderful!
