getting original
fairytales published
For an independent project at Smith College, I wrote original fairytales. I have sent them to at least twenty places and have received wonderful feedback -- love them, but don't know where they belong. I sent them to feminist mags, sci fi, and regular short story venues. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: getting

It would help if we had more specifics about where they've already been. When you say "sci fi," do you mean sci fi small press or the mainline genre magazines like F&SF and Realms of Fantasy? If the obvious markets are exhausted then you're going to have to do the sort of deeper market research that goes with the territory, such as tracking down new magazines or open anthologies. When you get to that point, the trade journals like LOCUS and SF Chronicle would be the first place to look.
Also, were these written for children specifically, or aimed at adults? That's another thing you have to keep in mind when looking at markets.

as book?
Have you considered packaging them as a book submission to book publishers?
