Hogmanay, wishes and magic....
All the best of the season to everyone on the boards. Here's a seasonal little story for anyone making a wish for the new year... It's called The Strange Tale of the Gingerbread Horse

Happy Christmas!

Gingerbread
A fine story and (all the greater) a subject I've not read
before!

A suggestion: For those that don't have a hint of the Galic, put a listing of meanings of such things as The Croft etc.

Second, your Web Site Colors; the Purple makes reading difficult.

Not complaining, just relaying. And I love the Irish Story,
but then I should, being Native American, Irish, Welsh & Bavarian.

Re: Gingerbread
Thank you so much for your kind remarks, RymRytr. You may be right about the use of Scottish/Gaelic words. I tend to forget that not everyone knows these. I just love Scottish words, as they're so expressive. "Scunner", now there's a brilliant word for you, and it just doesn't have an English equivalent! It's lovely to get some feedback anyway.

You do have an interesting background... Native American with Irish, Welsh and Bavarian! That must give you a pretty unique viewpoint. Excellent for a writer I should think.

All the very best to you - especially at Hogmanay!
