Novel versions of Rapunzel?
Hi, I already know of Zel (forgotten the author) but do any of you know of any other versions of Rapunzel in novel form, more adult versions rather than young adult if possible?
Do they exist?
Thanks,
Annette

Not much help, but...
There's a YA book by Margaret Mahy called The Other Side of Silence. It's very loosely based on Rapunzel, but is set in modern times and is more magical realism than straight out fantasy. I read it some time ago and liked it, though not as well as I liked The Changeover.
Other than that, nothing comes to mind. I think Eleanor Farjeon wrote something called The Silver Curlew that *might* have been based on Rapunzel (or some other fairy tale; I've never read it). It would be for the 9-12 age group.

Adele Geras Tower Room
Adele Geras wrote one called Tower Room. It's part of her Edgerton Hall series about three British school girls whose lives take on vaguely fairy tale related qualities.
