French Fairytales by Madam d'Aulnoy
I am doing a project for my French class about the fairytales of Mm. d'Aulnoy. I am looking for picture books based on d'Aulnoy's tales, but have been uable to find any. I would really appreciate any info. you might have on books or info. about d'Aulnoy herself. Thanks!

The Golden Book of Fairy Tales ...
Dear Jen:
While I'm afraid that while I can't think of any specific volumes that deal with d'Aulnoy alone, many of her tales have been included in illustrated collections such as _The Golden Book of Fairy Tales_ (which contains seven tales written by d'Aulnoy, illustrated by Adrienne Segur and translated by Marie Ponsot). The Colored Fairy Books also contain a number of her tales, with illustrations by H.J. Ford. Good luck!
Best,
Helen

Re: The Golden Book of Fairy Tales ...
Robert San Souci has written a retelling of "The White Cat" for a picture book illustrated by Gennady Spirin. It is the only picture book of a D'Aulnoy story I currently know about. Here's a link to it on Amazon.com:

Thankyou!
The colored fairy books are full of stuff by d'Aulnoy! Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. I'll have to find a copy of the Golden Book of Fairy Tales. I am very excited to find a picture book of the White Cat. Thank you a million times over!
