Marina Warner's new novel
Marina Warner has a new novel out, _The Leto Bundle_, and I'm trying very hard to read it, but it's hard going. I always considered myself to be pretty literate. Has anyone else read it? Is it actually as difficult as it seems, or am I just missing something?

Re: Marina Warner's new novel
I read it and liked it, though it's an odd one, to be sure. Warner's fiction always surprises me, because her nonfiction has a certain passion about it, while her fiction seems much more dry to me. Then again, that's true for so much modern British fiction...which is what makes the extravagant, passionate fiction of a writer like Angela Carter all the more interesting.

The Leto Bundle
Terri,
I'll hang in there, certainly--I'm definitely going to finish this book and find out if it's as good as I've heard it is, though so far I can't get a grip on the plot...LOL. Maybe it will all make sense later.

Marina Warner.
I prefer her prose works, like her wonderful study on Fairy Tales, to her novels; although 'Indigo' has a quirky appeal I guess.
