Cain Unregistered User (3/10/02 12:57:05 am)	need help understanding wat is a "fairy tale"? wat makes a fairy tale a fairy tale.. wat elements must a story have in order to make it a fairy tale. i am doing the novel briar rose and in that book there are aspects of the fairy tale genre however i haven't got the fantest idea where it is please any help would be appreciated thanks alot

Gives a background on fairy tales and the various movements that have led up to our current fascination with them. But you can also find discussions all over this site on the topic of fairy tale definitions, and specifically on Briar Rose, too. GF
