Looking for a "Kingly" tale
Hello,
I'm hoping to find a tale that would have some of the following characteristics:
-the central character is of noble birth, but something happens and is taken away, no longer knowing who he (she) is.
-the character grows up in a different culture, possibly as a peasant, and believes that this is who he is.
-as an adult, destiny intervenes, and through a series of adventures, his noble birth is revealed, and he reclaims his birthright.
Something along those lines...does anyone have any ideas. Thanks. Scott

Or in reverse
There is also the Moses story which has the opposite chain of events--rags to riches to rags, for a noble, divine purpose.
Or traditionally we have King Arthur, of course.
