she: A New Play
Hello, all...
I haven't posted here in quite some time, as I've been in the midst of writing my thesis, as well as finishing the script for my thesis project.
Well....its finished! (Applause)
I want to announce the impending opening of...
she by Allyson Rosen
"she" is an exploration of the sometimes magical, sometimes torturous relationships that women have with their mothers, looked at through the eyes of a fairy tale. In this one-woman show, a series of storytellers track the journey of She, an archetypal heroine based on Gretl, Red Riding Hood, Repunzel, The Wicked Step-Mother, the Witch in the Woods, The Fairy Godmother, Me, My Mother, My Grandmother, and ultimately, the Goddess.
For those of you in the Central Ohio area, the show runs from March 5-9 at Mount Hall Studio Theatre on the Ohio State University campus.
For those of you who are interested, but there's no way you can trek across the country and or/Atlantic to Ohio, I will gladly e-mail you a copy of the script. I'd love to hear feedback of all sorts.
For more information, please visit my website:

Please forgive this shameless plug...but this is actually a gesture of thanks to all of you who helped me out with advice and suggestions for research sources back in the day (about three months ago). I hope I do you all proud!

Re: Kudos
Allyson:
If you can send me performance details (exact dates, times, and where to call or e-mail for further info) and a one-paragraph description, we'd be happy to post a notice about your play on the Recommendations page of the Endicott Studio web site when the new edition goes up in February. The E-mail address for web site material is: endicottstudio@earthlink.net.

Re: She
Terri:
I've sent the information to the Endicott site. Thanks so much!
BTW, for those of you who have read the script so far, have you discovered the reference to Ellen Steiber's poem "Silver and Gold" (which you can read on the Endicott Studio Site)?

your play
It sounds fascinating - I wish I could come see it in person, but alas, I am too far away. I would love to read it, though. Thank you for sharing it.
