Re: ft conferences
Are you looking for academic paper presentation, storytelling events, combination, something like WisCon, artist/writer focused events, other?
One event I recently heard about is The Faerieworld Festival in AZ. Woodland Music is selling tickets on their site. Here's the info:
Upcoming Event! The Faerieworld Festival
On March 22nd, 2002, Imaginosis presents the Faerieworld Festival, at the historic Elks Opera House in Prescott, Arizona. The evening will feature the music of Woodland, Faery Tales with World Fantasy Award winner Terri Windling, and art exhibition featuring the art of Brian and Wendy Froud, and much more. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Pre-order your tickets online now
MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON!
Also, myself and some other Froudians are trying to plan a Froud Fest. I can send an invite in helping with planning.

This weekend in New England...
I just noticed there's a conference in Framingham, MA this weekend called Boskone 39:
"Boskone is a regional Science Fiction convention focusing on literature, art, music, and gaming (with just a dash of whimsy)."

I just noticed Charles Vess and Ruth Sanderson's names among the artists, and that Neil Gaiman is the Guest of Honor. Will anyone else from here be there? (I'm hoping I can snag the car and go.)

Boskone
Ordinarily I go every year, but my husband's too ill for me to be going off to a sf conference right now.

Re: Get well soon!
Jane-
I too hope your husband feels better soon.
To all others -
I just realized some of you might be going to SCBWI mid-winter conference in NYC this weekend. I'll be there. Any others?
