Fairy Tales and Business
I was at an open house the other day and ran into an individual that was reshaping a few of the classic fairy tales to teach business lessons. This sounded like a really great idea since fairy tales have evolved from generation to generation. So from this perspective, inserting business lessons into fairy tales seems like an excellent idea that makes perfect sense.
Does anyone know if this has been done before. Any other feedback or insight into this area would be appreciated

Re: Fairy Tales and Business
Actually, yes, variations on this have been done before, but that doesn't mean it can't be done again. That is the beauty of fairy tales.
The first book that comes to mind is "Goldilocks on Management: 27 Revisionist Fairy Tales for Serious Managers"
by Gloria Gilbert Mayer and Thomas R. Mayer which has recently gone out of print. This book does reshape fairy tales to make lessons about business management skills. You can read more about it at:
www.amazon.com/exec/obido...lalufairyt
And on a similar note, one of the more recent examples comes from a market research facility which uses "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" to evaluate different types of personalities and learn how to deal with them. Granted, it uses primarily Disney's version with the seven dwarfs and their personalities, but it is a similar concept. Read more about it at:
