shoes.......old and worn......working boots.........
I have searched for hours trying to find a picture of an old, worn-out working boot . I am using Paint Shop Pro 7 to create a picture of the old woman who lived in a shoe with so many children. But the only images of shoes I can find are so small that when I go to enlarge them for my purpose, the image is ruined. Can anyone help me find a picture of an old working boot? Can contact me at starlight_137@hotmail.com

Thrift
There will be tee-tons of old working boots at your local thrift store...
and you can shoot various angles of them until you get the reference photo you need.

google search
You could also try google.com. On the main page of google, click on 'images'. That will allow you to enter in a keyword (like boots) and then it will search for online images of that subject. Of course if you type in "boots" you will get some cat pics too! I hope that this helps and that I'm not telling you something you already knew. I just found out about it two weeks ago while looking for images to use in my poetry presentations.
Good luck!

Corbis
Corbis is a photo-image source that many companies (especially publishers) use when they need stock photos.
www.corbis.com/
They have 2 searches- for professional use and for personal use. There are other stock photo companies as well. Try a search for that until you find the image you need.
Hope this helps!

google
Alina,
I use google constantly - my favorite search engine. You can pull
up all kinds of good fairy tale stuff using it. In fact, it is how
I found this board.

Re: google
Jess,
I have found google very useful as well, plus it seems to be much faster (on my computer) than any other search engine.
Isn't it funny how you remember the first time you stumbled across the Surlalune site? I was absolutely thrilled! I spent two fascinating hours reading through the archives, (I was supposed to be writing) and knew that it would be impossible to stay away!
