mollismom Registered User (9/17/01 8:11:22 pm)	door decoration for fairy tale theme Our school's homecoming theme is "Once Upon a Time" (fairy tales) Any ideas on door decorating for my 2nd grade classroom--there is a door dec. contest. I thought about pasting their pictures over the face of their favorite fairy tale character. Do you know of any sites I can print out characters? Do you have any other ideas?
Jess Unregistered User (9/25/01 6:24:42 pm)	Good idea That sounds like a wonderful idea. Alternatively, the kids could draw pictures of their favorite fairy tale scene or character. Or you could read a lesser known fairy tale to the kids and have each one come up with their own conception of the story. Or you could do a story board depiction of a fairy tale with each child adding a part of the story. Creativity is the key with any activity for kids this age - oh and never underestimate their abilities. I helped my son's second grade class last year do an original science experiment on thermo-regulation with amazingly good results. Let us know how it goes. Jess
