Re: Fairy tale poetry
Oops...my distressed, distracted mind missed your "last 50 years" limit. Dive into the Fairie Queene some time where there is "continuall spring".

Fairie Queene
Dear Beatrice,
Last read it in college! Alas, looking at poets in the last 50 years leaves Spencer, Pope, Tennyson, & Rosetti and plenty of others, out of our range.

Fairy Tale Poems
A couple more names you might look at: Liesel Mueller and Amy Gerstler. Don't know if they're on the Endicott site. Claribel Alegria (Salvadoran poet) has done a lot of myth poetry but can't remember whether she has done fairy tales too. I'll try to look.

It's official, we signed the contract.
Call for Entries:
Anyone who would like to submit a Grimm based fairytale poem is invited to send to: ClaudiaC3@aol.com
We need to fill out our collection with lesser known tales and unusual takes on the subject. This is an anthology representing the best peoms written in the last 50 years using the tales or some aspect of the Grimm fairytale world. Poems that look at the tales, objects, characters, landscapes etc. are all welcome. We want to show how modern poets have incorporated the Grimm fairytales into their own work and made it theirs.
If any of you are coming to the World Fantasy Convention, I will be there and glad to talk about our book!
Thanks,
Claudia Carlson

Re: It's official, we signed the contract.
Claudia, if you're interested in any of the poems on the Endicott site, contact me via endicottstudio@earthlink.net. Also, Ellen Datlow and I have published a great deal of fairy tale poetry over the years in the fourteen volumes"Year's Best Fantasy & Horror," the six volumes of the "Snow White, Blood Red" fairy tale anthology series, and in "The Armless Maiden" - so you might want to take a look at those various volumes. Good luck with your project.
PS: Claudia, I responded to the e-mail you sent me via the Endicott Studio early this year and never heard back from you. Did my e-mail ever reach you?

I never got your email Terri!
Thanks for the words of encouragement.
There are a couple of poems on your site that we are interested in using. I'll send you an e-mail about them.
For the most part we want to use poems that haven't been published before.
I guess I never got your previous e-mail...
