Mask ideas for Kerrie
Hi Kerrie - the former thread on your masks has gone away...
Have you seen the little leather mask brooches in the latest issue of 'Belle Armoire'? They are in the gallery section and have pretty decent instructions in the back.
Have you decided what you are doing for the wedding yet?

Re: Mask ideas for Kerrie
Tara,
Thanks for reminding me! The only planning we've done recently has been narrowing down the season to next Fall or the following April/May/June! I checked Borders and couldn't find what you mentioned. Was it in the Fall issue or do you have the winter edition already? I did pick up Martha Stewart's Halloween book which has a great section on masks, the same article she had in her magazine a while back (last year, year before?). I think I've decided on wearing my ivory gown with a soft sage green cloak with a skeleton leaf pattern (I saw something in blue in a bridal magazine once). I think it would look great with a mask!

Re: Mask ideas for Kerrie
Kerrie,
It's the Autumn 2001 Belle Armoire. (It has the black velvet bag with gold ribbon roses and beads on the cover).
And it's just a couple of tiny brooches. But they are leather and have a lot of potential if you are interested in that approach.
Good luck. The dress and cloak sound lovely.
Oh, there is also an article on masks as decor in the latest (Dec & Jan 2002) issue of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion.

Re: Mask ideas for Kerrie
Thanks! I'll take a look at my next Open Mic Poetry at Borders-
otherwise I'm not currently allowing myself in bookstores. Luckily,
it's this Thursday!
