Slightly OT : Angela Carter
I know Angela Carter wrote lots of stories based on fairy tales and like fairy tales, but I've only read one myself.
My husband is a fan of the Australian band "The Church", and their lead singer is also known as Jack Frost, and on their album "Snowjob" is a song called Angela Carter. My husband just thought the person in the title had been made up, he hadn't heard of her before, but the song is definitely about her, if lyrics like "lost in the toyshop" are anything to go by!

Annette, nothing about Angela Carter is considered OT on this board! She's the queen of modern fairy tale literature (as far as I'm concerned, at least) and she has a lot of fans here. Now I'm going to have to track that song down.... Thanks for letting us know about it.

On the Church's album "Priest=Aura" there is also a song called Swan Lake, maybe they like fairy tales too!
