original fairy tales
does any one know where i can find books or a web site on the original stories of snow white, cinderella, repunzel, etc..... it would be greatly appreciated

This board is hosted by a wonderful fairy tale site called Surlalune. I think you will find the link directly at the top of the board. I think you will find just about everything you need on this site. There are links for specific fairy tales that will provide you with information about early versions, laterday versions, art work...
The other site you might try is www.endicott-studio.com. This site is also a great place to find articles and art work about certain fairy tales. Take a look at the "Forum" in the menu which will give you a listing of the various articles. The "Gallery" will also give a listing for the art which is posted on the site.

I almost forgot...take a look farther down the board to a posting titled "Sahre your knowledge of fairy tales"--there you will find some other great references sent in by other posters in answer to a question similar to yours.
