Looking for a tale of treasure found

I am looking for a fairy tale in which a prince searches far and wide for his treasure but comes home dejected and unsuccessful. As he nears his home, he trips and falls and curses his fate. An old woman nearby counsels him: "Where you tripped is where you'll find your treasure!" Thanks!!

Treasure

JoEllen,
I don't have the name of your story, but your description reminds me of the coda of John Barth's Arabian Nights tale in CHIMERA: "The key to the treasure IS the treasure."
