Welcome to the new board
Welcome!
Everyone reached a pretty strong consensus that EZBoard is the preferred board for fairy tale champions.
I will work at archiving the old board soon and provide URLs when the posts are ready.

the first to say howdy to you on this clean, new board. Seems like
everyone is going to the EZBoard these days. It makes me want to
get rid of mine and go back to the threaded style, just out of sentimentality.
I'd hate for them to be lost forever. Most people like the category
feature on these things.
Anyway, nice job.

Thanks so much for all your hard work, Heidi. When the new edition of the Endicott site goes on-line (early Nov.), I'll mention that the fairy tale board is over here now. I hope Jenna can find us...she hasn't posted in a long time. I wonder if Kate B. and Carolyn D. know where we are?

Quick question- is there a way to enable the editing of posts after submitting them? I know the old EZBoard had that ability.

I have sent out an e-mail to our regulars announcing the new board. Hopefully everyone will be able to find us when they want us. I also posted an announcement on the old board although it is only available through the EZboard URL and not the Darkgoddess address everyone had bookmarked. For this reason, I am going to keep the EZboard URL connected from my site in case I decide to move my site to a new URL in the future. I am always thinking about my own domain name. I have Carolyn's e-mail, but not Kate B's. If anyone knows how to contact her, please do.
And setting up the board is really no problem. I will probably confuse everyone as I play with colors and graphics a little to customize, but these are pretty simple to set up. I just want to get us settled again so we can feel comfortable posting without things disappearing on us.
And I am still learning the controls for this board, but I will see about the edit feature for users. I have it already as the registered moderator so I will see about unlocking it for other users--I imagine they will have to be registered users.

Hello Everyone
I just wanted to introduce myself, because I plan on lurking for a while, and eventually posting. (I'm going to pretend to be shy...I really just don't like to post very often.)
My real name is Carrie, but I think there are enough Carrie/Kerrie's on this board that you don't need any more. SO, call me Eirenical.

Heidi, may I add my thanks to the others for starting this new board and keeping the discussion going? I have been off-line for some time now, due to the fact that my husband has been quite ill. I tried to return to the old board during a quiet moment last week and was horrified to find it gone! Today, I finally spotted the new link from your SurLaLune site. Ah, what a relief! And how lovely to find you all here -- Karen, Jeff, Terri, Midori, Ellen, Kerrie. It's like revisiting old friends to see your names again, and (thanks to Heidi's links) I've been been enjoying catching up on all the discussions I've missed, and seeing all the new people here too.
I hope to be able to join these discussions again, but please forgive me if my appearance is terribly sporadic while I'm dashing to and fro between kids, work, and hospital.
Heidi, Terri, the SurLaLune and Endicott sites are looking wonderful. Thank you both for continuing to provide such excellent fairy tale information and imagery. I've got a lot of reading to catch up on!

Finally!
I finally found this new board. Thank you. I was terrified it was gone, or had been secreted away from my poor contributions!
I've been too busy to post lately, anyway--going on the (dreaded) job market for teaching positions this year, and finishing the revision of my novel. But I will definitely be checking in, and putting up some posts...one today in fact, a tiny dumb question. I still owe several of you a list of poets, and I have not forgotten about that.
In any case, I'm so glad this board still exists. I hope you all are well.

I am so glad you found us, Jenna and Kate! I, too, add my warm wishes for Jenna's husband.

Kate, it's great to see you back!
Folks, I want to say a quick word to introduce Greg Frost (since it's always a bit embarrassing to have to introduce oneself.) Greg -- an old friend of mine, and of Midori's -- is a terrific writer of mythic novels (including novels based on Irish legends) and short fiction (including fairy tales published in the Snow White, Blood Red series), as well as a teacher of creative writing.

Why Jenna! I didn't know you were here. It's really wonderful to see you as I was afraid that you were gone for good. I don't really post here now, these folks is all too intellekshual for lil ole me, besides, I've been overdosing on politics, what with the US election and now the Canadian. Hmmm, isn't it about time for a prince and princess to restore order to the land? Not too many of them around, but ogres seem to abound. La.
