Historical Context of Knoist and His Three Sons
I'm doing a fake-research proposal (could turn into a real one, who knows) for an intro to grad studies class about the historical context of Knoist. I picked it because it's so strange that it obviously means something, but it is little known and all I've been able to find is that it is 15th century. Keeping in mind that I don't read German (or, very little), does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find a little bit of info?

Re: Historical Context of Knoist and His Three Sons
I'm on my way out the door right now but when I get home tonight I will see about adding the Grimms' notes to the tale. I haven't finished editing the notes to some of the tales but I can add those since you have an interest. So check back here later tomorrow morning...

Re: Historical Context of Knoist and His Three Sons
Heidi, you are a wonder! Thank you (even if I'm not writing anything about the tale :D ).

Thanks
Thanks for replying so quickly. One problem though--I don't see any notes for the story...maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, or there aren't any?

Re: Thanks
I just double-checked. They are there right below the tale's text. Try refreshing the page in your browser.
