re: contemporary art
This might become easier if you narrow down your parameters a bit. What time period do you choose for contemporary art, and do you want to keep to a particular medium - film, painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles etc? Do you want to look at only works or artists dealing with specific fairytales, or include those working with elements or themes from fairytales? Would contemporary illustrations for fairytales come be part of your topic?

Have a look at the artists featured on the Endicott Studio website, for starters: www.endicott-studio.com :rolleyes
