Fairies during the Renaissance
Would anyone happen to know anything about what impact or what were fairies viewed as during the Renaissance? I have to write a 5 page essay on fairies during the Renaissance. Please also list any books that may help if you know of any.

Re: Fairies during the Renaissance
A recent issue of Renaissance magazine had a cover story about fairies in the Renaissance:

Perhaps you can find it at your library...there's also a magazine especially about fairies, though I never read it and am unsure if they have any articles pertaining to medieval beliefs:

Lewis's THE DISCARDED IMAGE
C. S. Lewis's THE DISCARDED IMAGE has a chapter "The Longaevi" about fairies and how they were viewed over several centuries, including the Renaissance (a term he does not use, iirc). Very good, he goes deeper into literature than most books 'about' fairies.
