Public Domain FairyTale illustrations
Hi, what a wonderful site! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am looking for lovely old fairy tale illustrations (in colour) that are in the public domain and so can be used on a unique product without having to worry about copyright issues. Would any one know where such illustrations could be located. Thanks so much!

pub dom
I just saw something like that, at a site with a lot of Catholic clip art and Victorian family scenes.... If you don't find something soon, I'll check my other computer.

Re: Fairy Tale Art
Don't the illustrations in the SurlaLune Illustrators Gallery fit the bill? I thought they were PD.

public domain
Are the Illustrators' Gallery images free to copy and use? I know the originals are public domain now, but are these particular images available also?

public domain
I would very much like to know if the Illustrator's Gallery
is public domain. That would be wonderful for our purposes.

Re: public domain
Most of the illustrations represented in SurLaLune's illustration gallery are public domain in the U.S. However, the scans and versions published on SurLaLune are copyrighted to myself due to the acquisition, scanning, editing, etc. work I have put forth over the years to make them available.

I always give permission to use them for non-profit and academic purposes, but not commercial ones. If you want to use them for commercial purposes, then go acquire them another way. Overall, the quality of the images are not suitable for anything more than web publishing. In addition, I am not liable for any other country's copyright laws. Use is at your own risk. And that's the shortened version of the disclaimers.
